Our home/ cottage had burst pipes in Feb. Our insurance sent Service Master. There was extensive water damage. The carpet has been torn out and damaged furniture has been pitched. We are into our third month now and waiting for attention. This isn’t satisfactory- we need flooring, drywall, baseboards and our furniture to be put back! HELP! PLEASE!

My experience with ServiceMaster was unprofessional and a complete waste of time and money. I paid the $150 fee just to have someone come out and provide a quote. After the visit, I was told early next week I would receive the quote. I emailed them twice looking for the quote. I received no response for over a week. When I finally called to follow up, I was told they were "very busy" and they would "see about getting to it." Another week passed with nothing. This lack of effort sent me searching for another company. It wasn't until I sent an email formally requesting a refund of my $150 that they finally bothered to send the quote. They refused to refund my money, despite the unacceptable delay and lack of communication. To make matters worse, their quote was nearly double the price of the one I received from Servpro. Servpro, by comparison, was professional, helpful, and stayed on top of everything from the start. Save yourself the headache and the $150—go with Servpro.
For the second winter in a row, we had ice damming on our roof which caused water leaking and damage to 4 areas of our house. This year with ServiceMaster the clean up and rebuild was completed in record time. Every single employee that we spoke to and came to our home were above and beyond in trying to assist us with having our life return to normal. Having already been through this process once, we were aware that it could take a long time. This year the suggestions and support made all the difference and we are now back to normal in just over a month. Well Done! We cannot thank you enough for supporting us and taking care of everything!
